Graham's story
This little guy is Graham! Graham was found as a stray on Graham Street at a local Memphis high school when he wandered up to a student gardening club and was lured to safety with cheese. When nobody claimed this little guy, so Worthy Dog Rescue stepped up to take him, and he's coming to the DC area! Added perk - hes great in the car!
Graham is a lover. His energy level is pretty mellow - he likes going for walks but once back home he is all about finding a soft spot to settle down and observe his surroundings while the humans are doing their human-things. If someone is sitting on the floor or couch, he is quite cuddly and will curl up close for snuggles.
Because hes people-focused, Graham is a very polite walker. He does enjoy sniffing (and a bit of marking, as male dogs do) but is always quick to return to your side and keep pace. If you stop at a corner or to chat with someone, he will either stand next to you patiently or sniff some grass here and there. He doesnt bark or pull, and is allowed to sniff a little more freely since hes so well-behaved. Seeing other dogs from a distance while on walks he will look at them but is mostly apathetic - no pulling or barking. Yesterday he met a Corgi up close and did fine - seemed tentative but relaxed overall. 
In his foster home, Graham sleeps in his crate at night and is crated during the day when his foster mom is out of the home. He may whine a little in the beginning when you first leave him in the crate, but as he becomes more confident and familiar with his new home, hell settle in even faster. He hasn't had any accidents in his foster home but, like any new dog, will need to become familiar with the routines at his new place. 
Graham loves people and gets very excited when new visitors drop. He can be a bit wiggly and will put his front paws on you, but is quick to get down with a correction. Its all in an attempt to snuggle! His formal training is lacking - i.e. he doesnt know how to sit or respond to specific verbal commands - but his personality is very people-pleasing so he can almost figure out exactly what you want with just a gentle verbal warning. Once he has a little proper training under his belt hell be even more fantastic!
He has been coexisting in his foster home with another dog, and an adult cat and seems politely interested in her, but is also willing to completely ignore the kitty and follow his humans. With the proper introductions, he would do fine in a home with cats! Graham does well with the other dog, Mochi, who is quite energetic and playful, and they got along pretty well straight off. They eat from the same food and water bowl and switch toys and bones back and forth and all has been well
Initially, Graham was more tentative than confident, but once he settles in and feels secure he's very happy and excited to get attention and meet new people. He might be a little nervous around a bigger dog, but if the dog is calm and not rough with him, he'll be fine.  .
